Story starts with mc being alone after attending the funeral of his last known close relative, his mother. Mc goes on with his life. Until one fateful day, whilr on a session of workout in a gym, mysterious fellows attacked the place. As you can see, mc is something special, he can sense magic and the gym instructor he's friends with is actually a dragon. So back to the story, the gym gets attacked. Mc tries rescuing one of the gym goers, mc unintentionally activated his power, portal/spatial magic. A magic officer of GAR (.. g.. arcane.. r something, like a government agency for magical stuffs), happen to find mc. Although mc has been living as a normal human, mundane, the officer immediately suspect mc and took him to custody.

After the interrogation and learning that mc is innocent, they prepare mc to get drafted to GAR. mage are believed to be taught magic when they were still young, mc on the other hand is already an adult when he find out he is a mage. During the draft talks, mc prioritizes his freedom something the GAR cannot give to mc. GAR does want balance and peace? or something. But mc didn't want to get held back and bound. Mc manages to escapes. mc becames a rogue mage, something GAR targets.

Mc takes in a fake ID and goes to a far off country town, unknown to mc, it's full of shifters, werewolves or something. But they were on good terms with mc. one day, news of killing happen and the targets were the mundane, the normal people. a conflict happen between the vampires and the shifters in the town. mc gets drag in the mess when a friend shifter gets kidnapped. the shifter friend asks for mc's help. mc helps them out of good faith. the vampires gets eliminated.

few days after, since the vampire and shifter are supposed to be on a peaceful term, the GAR had to step in to manage the situation. GAR agents went to the country town to investigate. thinking that they could be suspecting of mc and might take him, mc flees the country town without anyonw knowing.

the shifters thinking that mc might hold it as a debt they owe to mc, they tracked mc and collaborated with mc. mc wants nothing to with anyone else, he just want to be not bound to anything, but at the same time, mc needs to learn magic. with a promise of getting help for mc with what he needs, mc sets out to defeat the vampire in the shifters' territories. mc does the task, mc gets an intel agent, lucy, and materials to help mc with magic.

while learning magic, mc also befriended a healer mage. mc faked as a teacher all the while learning the basics with the mage. how it happened is just.. magic.

unfortunately, the mage mc befriended is a grand daughter of a prestigious mage, and somehow, mc taught the healer a forbidden magic, which mc just, on a whim, thought about. the mage gets in trouble for learning the forbidden magic but thanks to her grand parent, she got it easy. unfortunately, mc gets taken in custody of GAR when mc decides to meet with the grand daughter and the GAR are already lying in wait for mc.

somehow with mc's magic and.. knowledge with magic (he's a rookie with magic but he's like a prodigy, he just makes things happen), mc escapes.

as mc run away from the GAR, mc finds mundane being chased by fae folks. mc helps the mundane and in the process killes some of the fae folks. these fae folks are royalties. mc gets targetted by some fae kings.

mc goes out of the country and to a portal to another world. mc goes to the dragon folks' world. mc meets with his gym instructor friend who told mc that no kne but dragons are allowed in the dragon world and that the best place for him is the vampire world.

mc goes to the vampire world. mc learns it not a good place for him. after getting materials from the vampire world, mc return back to earth. somehow, GAR peole caught up with mc. mc goes on the run and managed to escape. unfortunately, during the process, some mundanes were killed due to a mage from GAR going full force.

mc goes to america to make try making a base and have the materials he got made to equipments. mc phone lucy to help him out. somehow, the two are having a cute moment during their convo. mc need lucy's help with getting funds, lucy will get commissioned for help. lucy tells mc that the shifter leader will help him out.

mc makes teleport equipments and sold to the shifters, something that is supposed to be off radar, since it's known only one person could make them and she's an archmage in GAR?

unfortunately, trouble is brewing in the GAR. lucy is an employee of GAR, and during the investigation and cases of mc, GAR does a sweep of people related to the case. Lucy manages to get off suspicion but the agents in charge of the investigation still have Lucy in the list. lucy is unaware of this.

in a call, lucy tells mc of what happened in the GAR. lucy also informed mc of the mundane he helped from the fae folks, the mundanes are being interrogated in a US branch. mc have the heroic sense of wanting to save the mundane, mc asks lucy for help. lucy connects mc to a fae folk who is on bad terms with the GAR as well as other fae folks.

mc managed to have a deal with the fae folk. mc will help the mundane in GAR's custody and the fae folk will take them in. the fae folk will take credit? for the mischief.

mc is a learning prodigy when it comes to magic and tactics. he has a sense of duty to help the mundanes but most of all those in need.

things not mentioned earlier:

mc's known parents weren't his actual parents but his grand parents. mc's mother left mc to them and mc's father is still unknown, the dragon gym instructor knows of the story of how mc's mother leave, returned pregnant with mc, and once again leave, leaving mc behind. mc's grand parents are goos people and the reason as to why mc has this sense of heroic duty.

the forbidden magic mc taught to the healer mage is reverse healing. instead of healing and fixing, the magic concentrate the healing magic which in turn burst the insides of the target.

mordite materials are something items that could hurt other worldly beings and this is what could be used to make magic ite.s, this is what mc gathered in the vampire world. mc made teleporters from the gathered materials. this he sold the shifters.

teleporters are made only by the spatial archmage of the GAR. same spatial archmage is looking for mc. as mentioned, mc is able to create a teleporter.

mc's knowledge about the teleporter is due to the help of the healer mage. she let mc see the teleporter her father used. in a short moment, mc is able to understand the teleporter.

teleporter/home bound is different to mc's portal/spatial magic. teleporter is like a warp point that can warp a person or a group of people tp a designated place. mc's portal can go just about anywhere as long as it is within mc's reach.

mc's spatial magic, along with his learning and training (all self taught), allows mc to see things around him. like a byakkugan i  naruto. mc can manage his portal sizes. with this set up, mc can assassinate others with surprises attacks.

the archmage for spatial magic desperately wants mc. The GAR is hunting mc as a rogue mage. the fae folks is hunting mc for the killed royalties. the vampires detests mc.

lucy is a quirky gal that likes to flirt with mc. when mc respond to it, lucy is having romantic thoughts with mc. during the sweep for a mole in the GAR, lucy managed to get off suspicious by not mentioning mc's name but by telling she does collab work, or something, with her lover. this interrogation is under a truth serum spell. although the officer in charge of the interrogation still suspect lucy.

Have to stop at chapter 66, it goes more beyond that but things just went off from the premise/title before the guerilla training arc.

Mc, jinsung, has this dilemma and sort of a problem. To start of the world building is amazing, there are no hunter or monsters but a simple alternate world where magic, skills, abilities and techniques are real and they're called Ideya. Ideya is the manifestation of this thins and they are divided in ranks. s/ss or above is highest until f the lowest. And there is also combat ability that is like a physical capability of the person, this also gets divided in rank, same as ideya. Aside this, there is a hierarchichal prejudice when it comes to rankings. your social value is proportionate to your ranking. if your ideya and combat ability is low, society thinks lowly of you. But do not fret, ideya and combat ability can increase with training.

Back to the story, mc has this problem and he has to hide his true ideya rank. In turn, he gets treated poorly by his colleagues. Although mc sometimes let himself loose, it's for him to escape bullying.

mc meets with ahnseyoung, a person just like mc with "weak" ideya but simply improved himself to get the title of ace in their school. during a match mc and his team went up against ahnseyoung. ahnseyoung comes out rude at mc but somehow mc showed a bit of his power. ahnseyoung becomes interested in mc, ahnseyoung and mc are both male btw. ahnseyoung sees mc as a prospect training buddy.

mc then meets seyun, the possessor of the goblin ideya, something like a renowned hereditary ability. seyun shows interest towards mc and sees him as husband candidate. seyun is female.

bank robbery arc, mc, seyun along with there classmate is sent to off school activity and that is guard duty to a bank. things are going smoothly until robbers/terrorist arrives. mc hides. seyun faces the terrorist. seyun gets overwhelmed from the terrorist lead. witg things going bad, mc manages to lure the terrorist to a 1v1 match. mc overwhelms the terrorist. unfortunately, the terrorist lead manages to escape thanks to one of mc's school bully. mc in his true ideya form, ran after the school bully but he was stopped by seyun.

let's talk about mc's ideya. mc's ideya is ranked f, a normal dagger. nothing much, just a dagger. but that isn't just mc's ideya. mc has a second ideya, rank s, murder. mc changes personality to a psychotic bloodlust filled murderer and his target will always be the closest human. thanks yo the murder ideya, mc's combat ability reaches s rank as well. unfortunately, mc does not have control of himself and will indiscriminately go to a murderspree, whether foe or ally. will only stop if mc's bloodlust gets satiated or gets knocked out.

mc wakes up, and was fearful for seyun, although mc is in frenzy, mc remembers everything that happened. fortunately seyun is fine. mc vows to get strong. mc goes to ahnseyoung for training.

guerilla arc, mc forms a bond with the team given to him. the team is named, zombie horde, as they are lowest of the low ranks but through their will, they keep pushing through despite how rough up they become through training. also in this arc, the clear discrimination is shown, from the instructors and even the principal of the school. in the final showdown, the trench battle, the zombie horde showcased their growth from their low rank and their loyalty to mc. mc won the battle despite being called fake and even the reporter that covered the event was even said to have been bribe to make mc look good despite not being true.

next is the terrorist arc, after the guerilla training, a new character appears, the husband candidate picked by seyun's family for her, petch. seyun does not like petch. they all misunderstood mc. they thought it was mc who is seduced seyun. in fact, it was seyun who was taking the initiative towards mc. and mc is going along. petch as well seyun's family belittle's mc, this is thanks to the fact that mc is still f rank and not much info is still revealed about him to many. mc and petch had a first spar. petch rudely belittle mc. mc reveals a bit of his power. petch is taken aback to what he witness but still, he is not satisfied with mc being seyun's choice of husband to be.

meanwhile, certain terrorist group is brewing their act. first there was a giant bear that is believe to be an ideya, that wrecked havoc. south korea's greatest, li xinwin.. something managed to faced off against it.

back to the school, mc had another confrontation with petch. mc goes almost all out. mc understood why petch is the chosen candidate for seyun. petch has a plunderer ideya, seyun's family does not like the armor ideya of seyun and that's why they plan on having petch take the hereditary goblin ideya of seyun.

a bit of self though regarding seyun's ideya. her ideya is the goblin spirit swordsmanship. but instead of going all offensive, seyun does not like doing harm  so instead of this, seyun focuses on the defensive capability of her ideya. or something like that.

back to the round 2 of mc vs petch. mc goes almost all out, mc wins. after the match, petch reveals to mc that seyun's family wants to speak with mc. mc has no say to this. mc went and spoke with the family head of seyun. they still think mc is not a good match to mc. mc does not focus on denying it, instead, mc tells them off and that seyun should be able to choose her path.

this is again in my understanding, seyun's family wants her to become an all offensive goblin ideya user, this is despite the fact that seyun's swordsmanship and combat ability subpar. add to this that seyun, is more like a pacifist or something? she does not like hurting others, although she seemed that way since that is how her upbringing is.

seyun appears, the family head orders mc to never meet seyun again and that seyun will be doing evening patrols with petch, this is something because of their family is a military, government something? that protects the country. mc denies this order and even say he'll go on patrol with seyun.

night patrol happen, nothing much happen. the terrorist group, peste/pestillence something continues to brew their plan.

this terrorist group, peste, are also the ones behind the bank robbery arc.

one night, mc takes a day off for the night duty. seyun and petch are left to go on patrol. petch is going to confess to seyun? but it was stop when an alert came telling that the terrorist group launch their plan. in the middle of the city, a giant winged lion is wrecking havoc. the two goes to respond. meanwhile, mc is in the club of ahnseyoung, they are traning along with the zombie horde. suddenly they also got the alert of the terror attack. they are supposed to handle crowd control of the civilian. mc had a bad feeling, ashnseyoun let mc go fimd seyun.

meanwhile, seyun's family who are the first to respond to the scene gets defeated. seyun's aunt, the predecessor to the goblin ideya gets killed. the family head was about to get killed when seyun and petch arrives and managed to rescue him. unfortunately, the winged lion is just too overpowered. seyun is in a dazed state because of what happened to her family, petch is strong but not enough. seyun, regains composure. she face the winged lion, it wasn't enough. petch takes the ideya of seyun's family head, the imagination creation ideya, it's not enough. when they thought all hope is lost, mc suddenly appears.

seyun gets mad at mc for appearing and asks mc to runaway. mc reject the idea. mc faces the winged lion. mc immediately goes to phase 2. it wasn't enough. mc goes to phase 3 not enough. mc goes phase 4. (i think that's what happened? 3-4 phases? or maybe just 3) when mc goes full berserk, the winged lion became a pin cushion. at this point mc's murder ideya, rose from s rank to ss rank. mc is able to conjure mythical stuffs for him to use. runfortunately, somehow, the murder ideya became some sort of not just bloodlust but also became sadistic. the human priority is also high but still, if provoke, he will go to the nearest target, and the one that provoked mc is the winged lion.

after a bit of flashback to mc's trauma and a bit of the battle scene, mc manages to pin the winged lion to the ground and made a pin cushion out of it from the mythic items mc conjured. the lion is alive but severely beaten and is unable to move. suddenly, rescue/response teams appears. one of them is school doctor who mc respects well. under the effect of the rank ss murder, mc kills the other rescuer and gave the school doctor traumatic memory. the school doctor is alive after this arc btw :) the wing lion died and disappeared at this point btw. seyun appears, mc also gave her a traumatic memory, she's also alive after the arc.

i'm saying traumatic because is just totally psychotic at this point and just very.. mental.

other rescue/response team arrived, mc is still in that rank ss murder state. mc was about to go murderspree when seyun stabs mc at the back.

forgot to mention, the rank ss murder ideya of mc, is something like a double edge mental state. mc wants to kill but he also wants to kill and this paradox of a mental state frees him of something holding him back? or something. so seyun back stabbing mc is very much what he also what he wanted.

fortunately, after seyun stabbed mc, mc was fine and returned to his normal state. unfortunately, what had just happened suddenly came back to mc. mentioned earlier, although mc loses control of himself, he remembers everything that happened. mc goes into a shock.

mc wakes up on a hospital bed. seyun is beside him. before the two could talk more. li xuwin, south korea strongest, briefs mc of what happened.  seyun had to leave first. mc is called a disaster class person of the country but despite this he is recognized as a hero. they all thanked mc for what he did.

i stopped here.. so, the title just stopped from pretending as a worthless person and go to clearing my name or something.. the story is nice and all btw :)

stopped at chapter 66, there are still 90 chapters but i think im good here.

this is an amazing read. it's comparable to one piece, imo, when it comes to world building as things expands from the first chapter to the next and so on.

the first arcs revolves around mc, choi hyeungseo??, and his path to becoming the servant of the goddess of balance, a constellation that can foresee a bit of the future. Unfortunately for the goddess, mc went off track and instead of becoming a servant, he himself became a constellation. took him thousands and thousands of years in the abyss as he thought himself was actually training for the goddess but in truth, he got swept off to another place and had to face off difference overwhelming amd life-threatening obstacles. I would have to repeat, him being swept off is not what the goddess planned but even still, mc still thought of everything were part of his training to becoming a servant of the goddess. until he met another constellation, madness and blood?? and fought against the constellation servant. after winning the battle, the servant of the other constellation reveals to mc that he should become a constellation himself and that him training is actually no longer on the path of just a servant but beyond. surprisingly, during that convo, mc reveals that he is actually having doubts whether what he was doing was actually just servant training. and so, mc decides to be a constellation.

then he met the cat blacksmith and the desire and dream kid, both are constellation. mc forms an alliance with the two. then mc goes on to travel i  the abyss searching for a way back to earth and all he had in mind is the prophecy foretold by the goddess of balance that evil constellation are going to earth to gather followes which in then turn to nourishing or supplying them strength. mc fought vs two or three? other constellation and thus becoming his underlings.

during his travel, mc went to an earth like planet but is populated by goblins. mc saves them which made the goblins indebted to mc. mc refuses but the goblines insists. in the end, mc acquires his second follower, the goblin king odaigon. the first follower mc had is the rock serpent, onix and its kins.

mc and odaigon continues travelling until they stumble upon a dimensional gate? the two enters the gate. during that time, the same gate is actually connected to a gate an american team is doing a dungeon raid, the team of.. something parker. the american teams gets overwhelmed, gets stucked inside the dungeon. luckily, mc and odaigon rescues them. before they could meet, mc already ordered odaigon to transform into a human since, as mc explained, have prejudice against other kind and might attack odaigon on sight. the rescue happens, they got out. and after a bit of briefing and testing, mc found out 30 years have passed in earth although mc travelled and fought forever in the abyss, the otherworld, mc is sent to train, like 10k years or more?

(mc had his hunter rank assessed and found out he was just c+, not much different from before he went to the other world. story goes on, there's a prejudice against martial arts user and its the fault to the chinese hunter, whom mc idolized, who faked his own rank. but mc didn't care he has a mission and that is to stop the constellations from reaching earth.

unfortunately, mc is already too late and the constellation, both the good and the bad, have already reached earth. mc was advised to hide his true self as a constellation, and instead his as just a servant under his constellation.) - i don't remember how things just proceed but that's just it.

mc then meets up with his former guild leader, dragon gyeonleong, a naturalizd americans class hunter. dragon became a big shot after leaving korea and becoming an american. after a while mc made dragon his first human servant.

things proceed, mc, all the while undercover as a servant under  his constellation title, went to spread martial arts and spreading goodwill. (first gen hunters just like mc and dragon, have the sense of duty of helping, the latter gen hunters do things for fame and money).

mc fought off against the parker group and their mischievious acts in order to gain economic supremacy but only to be always stop by mc under the company of dragon, the other evil constellations seeking to take hold of earth and wreaking havoc and so and so on.

during these times, mc made great friends as well comrades, mc met with the naturalized american martial arts clan who have elites under mc. mc became the leader of a raid team managed by dragon's company. mc met up with leaders of other countries who he have good, france, and not so good ties china. mc met up with the daughters of his ex lover, one is a korean a rank hunter and another is a hunter under a powerful constellation on the good side. there is also the sloth constellation, she made mc her successor, and the ice queen constellation that are is interested in mc. mc meet with evil constellation face off against them and won, such as the contract constellation whom he easily defeat but made a temporary alliance, the collecter constellation that oozes bad vibes and is just straight up evil, the explosion constellation that gains power the more chaotic things happes (he is a bad guy), then there's other constellation that are just there as fodder for him but mc is able to make connections with them? somehow.

all this time, mc only revealed his true self to his servants and no one else, i think? he keeps it hidden since it's not normal for a constellation to be actively and personally joining mortal affairs.

aside from this consequential events there are also themes like sport which is the MoBA version of hunters. mc also has a team. they lost the first match mc joined the battle since he doesn't know much about the game. mc got his other former hunter clan member to be the coach of mc's moba team, choi hyunsik? he's also the second human servant mc made.

latest (181) a fight vs the explosion constellation that just recently wrecked havoc in the territory of contract constellation whom mc had a secret temporary alliance with. they are on constellation territory war, treasure hunt. mc along with his team, the few of the mount hua sect, as well a team from the angel constellation whom mc had an alliance, goes to face the explosion constellation.

treasure hunt, constellation territory war, is like finding a hidden artifact by the territory owner. once the artifact is claimed the reign of the owner of the territory is removed.

also during this time, mc absorbs a domain seed and acquires nobility. not much is mentioned about it yet.

the treasure hunt of the explosion constellation gears towards making people fight each other which makes things more chaotics and as mentioned earlier, explosion constellation gains more power when more chaos happens. mc leads the raid along with other raid teams. when explosion constellation reveals how he defeated the contract constellation, mc in his constellation form, met up with the explosion constellation and demand a constellation battle. the theme is clan battle.

constellation battle is like an duel/battle between constellatuon, there can be exhibition matches which promises constellation money, soul stones, or in most cases a battle to gain or lose constellation power, sort of like a rank match.

Athlete Saotome, Keeping a Secret (manga end) - review

It's refreshing to read a complete manga. Hopefully a sequel comes out. But here's my take:

The chapters are short. The whole manga is short. The side characters aren't given much justice but they were used well for the main characters development. The relationship is so cute. The restriction feels useless, or I'm just not too knowledgeable about this. The sports side isn't the priority of this manga so, a bit about it is used or highlighted compared to other sports manga, or that is to my knowledge. But that shouldn't matter, really, this is a romcom. And the chemistry between the two is not much highlighted but they are really meant for each others. They're a cute couple. And I'm glad no third party was involved. There is, but it wasn't as much needed.

I love this cutesy fast paced short manga now. It's very refreshing. Read it for a warm fuzzy feeling.

61 mc secures a banker to manage mc's banking plan. mc goes to seina's hometown to commission bank guards. the dilemma in seina's hometown, undeads, and a political strife between the lead of the town and the lord of the land. mc wants to help. the town chief declines and tells their plan of leaving the place.

62 mc tells the town chief he will deal with undead so that they will not leave and so that mc could employ them. after a deliberation, the town chief accepts the deal. mc goes with the undead extermination. they made dia be the dealer, while mc and siena do the aggro and kiting.

63 the trio completes the task. mc had a hunch the undeads are not from the area but from the border, where the war took place. mc had a final talk with the town chief and the talks are settled. mc gains guards for the bank he is planning to make. mc goes to a conferrence with the king and the cabinet. mc proposes his bank and a unified currency. they all agreed. mc gets the okay for his project. a month later, the bank gets created and is established. with the rumors circulating, people are using the bank for loans and financial security.

64 mc asks permission from the king to make a city in the territory given to him. after a bit of persuasion, the king gave his okay. mc manages to get people to help in constructing the city. after a briefing, mc leave the rest to them. mc goes to his secret place to idle. unfortunately, while mc is playing hookie, mc receives a message. a certain trouble is brewing. a certain necromancer reanimates the dead and is now launching an attack on two borders of the kingdom.

65 mc, seina, aisha and dia are having a talk about the undead attack. mc sees it as an opportunity. meanwhile, the king is seeking advice from his advisers. the advisers tells the king to seek help from the holy kingdom but due to certain conditions with beliefs, the king is hesitant. suddenly,  letter came for the king. it was from mc, he has a plan. on another side, other countries are facing the undead as well. they will be getting help from the holy kingdom at a great price. meanwhile, the ernesia kingdom, where mc is in, sent letters to the other country that they will help vs the undead at a more reasonable price. back to mc, mc plans on making copies of the holy water that currently only the holy kingdom knows how to make.

66 mc manages to recreate the holy water. it's potency is weaker but making it is far cheaper than the existing holy water. mc's holy water is effective. the ernesia kingdom sent letters to neighboring countries regarding mc's holy water. mc will be giving an explanation regarding his holy water. this is mc's decision. this decision is caused mc wants himself to be known. mc's conference regarding his own holy water. mc shows his fang as a business tycoon.

67 certain neighboring countries started using mc's holy water. except for the one country that accepted the holy kingdom's help, many countries who accepted the ernesia's kingdom help are able to solve the undead problem. the necromancer who is the main culprit for the undead are mad with the sudden lost of his undead army. in mc's side, news of the necromancer making a last stand and missions to subjugate the undead army culprit. mc is also receiving letters from the holy kingdom which mc tells his aides to ignore them. after talking about the undead incident, mc decided to personally join the fray. mc meets the necromancer.

68 mc is able to use holy magic. mc eliminated the necromancer. mc also gain a bit knowledge regarding necromancy and the dark mage. it was not much of any use. with the undead incident solved, mc's city project which was put on hold can finally continue. meanwhile, in the holy kingdom, certain officials are seeing mc as a problem. the saintess, sees mc as a problem as well but due to principles, she cannot do much vs mc.

69 1 year passed. mc's tech development is going smoothly. mc's city is now built or rather almost. some of the residents are a now able to take residence in the buildings

 mc's next plan is to make a celebration party for the city going along. it is also a way to advertise mc's city to no longer be just a country side village but an actual rural area. mc let aisha take the lead with the celebration. mc invites all the noble he can. day of celebration, many nobles arrived in the city of fahilia. nobles who arrived early is surprised at how well develop the city is and the temperature within the city is opposite of the harsh weather outside.

70 celebration. mc's aides will attend. mc's mom will attend. mc's mom arrives. mc warmly welcomes her. the banquet starts smoothly. the fahilia city technological advancement is showcased. the king joins the scene.

71 mc introduces the techs in his city. then the party. mc dances. mc gets exhausted. aisha saves mc. mc dances with aisha.

72 mc meet with the mage tower lord/leader. an attack of dark mages. the mage tower lord/leader handles the dark mages smoothly. mc strikes a deal/proposal to the mage tower lord/leader. the magr tower leader tells mc he accepts it but first he must tell it to his associates. mage tower leader leaves. mc goes back to banquet. mc talks with the king.

73 the king asks mc to come back to the royal castle. mc declines. mc understands the freedom mc had is far more compared to the life within the royalty and the politics. the king tells mc that his brother wants to see mc. this invovles the ascension to the throne. after some time, the fahilia city is now fully recognized as a city. mc inspect the city, incognito. mc happens upon an imported goods store. mc finds chocolate seed. after growing the choco seed into a tree, mc's next step is chocolate ingredients, and finally choco products. taste test with the dwarven smith aken, seina, and aisha. dia is included as well.

74 5 days of choco product tasting. the tasters gave up. the merchant group where mc got the choco seed hears the rumors about the chocolate. the merchsnt group leader, geothal wants to meet with mc regarding the choco product. mc rejects a few times. after, mc decides to meet geothal. the two meet. geothal wants to join in the choco business with mc. mc says there is no benefit for him.

75 mc rejects her. the reason, other than business projection, is that mc used his magic to see through the merchant. mc did not like what he saw. mc asks his uncle, his trusted merchant executive to investigate the geothal company. the geothal company is planning something sinister. mc next dilemma is his griffon, fly. the griffon family grew. mc can't take care of many of them as they all idle by. after a few inquiries, mc decides to make griffon deliveries. unfortunately, suddenly, news arrives for mc. the news of the choco seeds to be evil. mc sees the scheme of the merchant he rejected.

76 it is the holy kingdom that announced the choco seed to be evil. only the ernesia kingdom did not support the holy kingdom. other countries support the holy kingdom. with this announcement and with choco product only distributed within the ernesia kingdom, export of the choco product gets sealed. fortunately, mc already knew this would happen. mc had a plan vs the geothal company. within the holy kingdom, the holy official who announced the evil ofnthe choco seed met with the holy saintess. the holy saintess did not want to mess with the ernesia kingdom and with what just happened, she had to do something to stop whatever she knows to happen. meanwhile, mc exacts his plan vs the geothal company. mc intercepts a smuggling transport of the geothal company. it went successful. they found something else beside the imported goods.

77 the geothal company is smuggling illegal drugs. mc continues with his plan vs the geothal company. business war. geothal realizes the attack. geothal meets with mc. mc goes all out offensive with his rhethorics. geothal is unable to defend and had to give up her company to mc. meanwhile, in the holy kingdom, the saintess punished the official who were connected with geothal.

78 the choco trend went back to business. mc meet the holy kingdom saintess. the saintess just want to clear up her and the holy kingdom's name with what happened recently. the saintess also says she will not be enemies with mc for the moment. mc wants to open trade with the holy kingdom and the permission for the holy water. the saintess rejects and leaves mc. meanwhile, in kania's side. kania now has an aide herself, mayka. kania is the leader of a new knight order. not long before, kania lost a duel vs another sword master. kania is determined to win and be acknowledge. mayka, the aide, worries that with the negligent of kania, the knight order led by kania might get disbanded.

79 mayka meets with mc for help. mc did not want to help as it is for kania's sake. before mayka leave, mc asked mayka to give a letter for kania. it contains an advice for his beloved elder sister. meanwhile, kania is still struggling vs the swordmaster she cannot defeat. mayka arrives and hands the letter to kania. kania rejects opening the letter as she believes that if she does so, she won't be able to grow. kania on her own continue with what she's doing. later on, kania once again duel vs the sword master. kania changes her tactics. kania won. the swordmaster acknowledges kania.

80 after the duel, kania asks mayka what was written in the letter. mayka already opened the letter. there was nothing inside. mc met with the swordmaster kania defeated. the two talk about kania's growth. the master asks if mc helped. mc says he did not and that kania really did grow on her own. after, mc meet up with his crown prince brother and the king. mc discuss of a war to happen. after persuading the crown prince if they should take action, mc gave his info. mc says the holy kingdom will sometime soon engage war vs ernesia kingdom. meanwhile, the saintess is preparing an underhanded method to engage vs the ernesia kingdom. back to mc, mc receives a guest to his city, pena amret janil, a royal princess, the summoner mc meet after his failed marriage talk.

81 princess pena is in the ernesia kingdom as a foreign exchange student in name, but in truth she's a political hostage of the kingdom. currently mc will be hosting for her. after a few exchange, pena states her actual intent. the spirit she summoned asked specifically of mc to teach pena about magic. mc is surprised that the spirit could see through mc. mc agrees to teach pena. spirit summoning art lesson begin. pena manages to summon a second spirit. first was a salamander of fire element, the second is a gnkme of the earth element. mc also realizes why pena wants to hide her power. the merman empire is deeply indebted to the holy kingdom. the holy kingdom has a high resent vs non humam beings.

82 the holy kingdom resents non human beings, specially spirits and summons. spiritualist and summoners are once hunted down due to this principle of the holy kingdom. pena explains that some of her relative as well the current emperor, pena's brother knew of her power. mc continues her explanation that they sent pena to ernesia so that the holy kingdom has a justified ground to stage a war vs them for harboring a spiritualist. political talk about war. whatever the outcome of the coming war, the empire of merman is set to be destroyed. mc proposed to help pena to saving the merman empire. mc plans on using pena's spiritual power to aid vs the holy kingdom. princess pena accepts mc's help. after teaching pena about spirit magic, mc was also able to summon spirits himself. mc asks the many spirits he summoned why and how the salamander spirit of pena knew that mc could be trusted.

83 mc inquires the spirits he summoned. the spirit says mc looked differently compared to other. they also reveal that there are also others like mc, reincarnators. mc tells the spirits the keep what they know about mc a secret as well others that are below them. mc also ask for a tiny favor from the spirit fire. mc teaches pena. pena starts learning. mc discusses with dia regarding his dealing with the mage tower leader, the engines to be used on the ships mc recently acquired. the project going smoothly but can't proceed as fast since the mages are also dealing with the dark mages. with a free schedule, mc takes pena for another lesson, idling. pena does not like the and insisted on studying more for her spirit arts. mc persuades her that they should enjoy life. the two enjoy themselves while roaming the city. suddenly, a thief pickpocketed pena. mc notices it.

84 mc tells pena to use her summons to apprehend the pickpocket. pena successfully captured the criminal. the two continue their leisure time. pena sees the printed books mc had made for their country. mc have a big plan for this. the two return back to the fahilia castle. meanwhile, in the holy kingdom, a book printed by the ernesia kingdom is the hot topic in a meeting with the saintess. it is a banned book, it is about a spiritualist. the saintess is yet to face vs the ernesia kingdom but they decree to ban the book printed. the higher officials wants to face the ernesia kingdom but the saintess stops them. the saintess then reveal a secret to the official which she said that although they are letting the ernesia kingdom be, sooner or later, they will have no choice but to follow the holy doctrine. timeskip, a year after. mc's brother jaeil succeeds the throne.

story so far until chapter 41. with a skill, mc kept on regressing from the 20th round of a death game made by the gods. mc is on his final regression, 100th time.

first round mc, used the avatar he's used to and the name he always use when they enter. the quest is goblin slaying. after much going on, mc gets first place in the server and across the region. mc gains rewards and more. mc also killed an angel, a moderator for the round. mc acquires a change job item. mc knows a lot of things that even the mods don't know about.

when the first round end, mc as well the other survivor player gets back to where they were. when the players gets ported, they leave their bodies in the place where they were. this will be called real world/real life. the avatar in the rounds are connected to the body in real life. if one of the two dies, both dies. the school bully, a player, wants to test out his new ability on mc. buy mc already left.

mc went back to his brother to check up on him. mc takes his brother to his younger brother's bullies. mc teaches the bullies a lesson. mc takes his brother to a convinience store so they could eat. mc uses up all their money to buy lottery tickets. they won. the two brothers moves places. the school bully wanted to check on mc, but mc had already left his former home.

mc and his brother gets a condo. with mc's brother's request, the two greet their neighbor. mc meets actress seo arin and her bodyguard. the brothers were treated coldly.

mc goes on to win more lotteries until the lottery system gets shutdown. mc then used up their money to invest on NFT. mc ready for round 2.

round 2 is vote selection round. survival is 100 percent but due to show of force a few died. Mc knows that round 2 is only about voting. Mc grinds to get to a higher level and change job. when the voting actually happens, a gangster won the vote selection for the region representative. the representative is granted absolute authority but only ten times and only limited to one person per authority. mc did not aim to be a rep because he has a plan. a reward is given to mc for being the first one to change class in all the regions and servers. also during this round, mc also saves seo arin and her bodyguars from the bullies. they wanted to stuffs to the actress but mc stopped them. at this point, the bodyguard is wanting to leave behind seo arin for her weak mentality but as a duty to the heavenly demon, a player from another region, he cannot abandon her.

back in real world, mc has two objective for the moment, to meet up with min julie, the buffer player and to invest in heavenly demon's company. mc liquidates his asset from the NFT investment he got and invested on heavenly demon's stocks. mc went to the convenience store min julie's father own. it's the same store mc won his lottery ticket. mc fakes he just wanted to give something in return for the winning he got. but in truth he wants to get a connection with min julie. mc successfully got what he wanted. min julie knows mc is a player, as the players falls in the same age group.

round 3 starts. the game is tower def. the start is a bit shaky since the angel mod says the rep can be taken by pk. mc makes a deal with the rep. the rep denies mc's deal. mc goes on his own corner for grinding and the waves. the rep is getting targetted for pk. he uses his authority to get 10 players to protect him but dealing with tge monster waves and the pk, the rep getd cornered. the rep finds mc and plead to help him. mc refuses without any authority left, rep is useless to mc. rep gets pk by the bully. bully asks mc the deal he had with the former rep. mc accepts. mc protects bully. mc tells bully to order 10 people to destroy the crystal they're defending. bully does so. the crystal gets destroyed. a hidden quest happens. a boss fight. a few players gets killed. mc fights the boss 1v1 and rises victoriously. bully as well 10 other players who destroyed the crystal gets permanent stat reduction. mc gets a huge reward.

back to real life. mc have two new objectives, a mind reader rune and connection with heavenly demon. runes are like permanent power ups that players can acquire. heavenly demon contacts mc and set up a meeting. heavenly demon suspects mc to be part of a party who is trying to bring his company down. before meeting heavenly demon, mc must first acquire the mind reader rune. mc acquires the mind reader rune. mc meets with the heavenly demon. mc also once again meets the bodyguard. the bodyguard apologized for treating mc and his brother coldly. mc meets the heavenly demon. mc tells them he wants to help the company grow but it must be changed in a few ways. the bodyguard did not want the idea and suspects mc even more. mc says his power is divination, he can see the future and his class is prophet. the two did not want to believe mc. mc gives info about the next round. mc leaves. mc meets with min julie to tell he's a prophet and give advice for her to survive. round 4 starts.

round 4 is free fall all pvp match. the players were hesitsting to pk. the bully approach mc and asks if the deal is still on. mc says it is in exchange for the powerstone the bully has. mc meets seo arin and the bodyguard. seo arin gives mc a powerstone. the bodyguard thanks mc and tells the regard of their company leader, mc's round identity is still hidden. mc stops the bodyguard before revealing anymore info about themselves in real life. the round begin and the people are hesitant. mc starts the round with mc killing the bully. the players were shocked and wants to go at mc. but they also hesitated, they are afraid of mc and they can't easily do pk. after a few discussion, the bully gets revived. the round is pvp match and no perma death is ruled. the killing begins. mc joins the massacre but only mc knew as well the people he told about round 4, the real scoring of the round. the round settles, mc gets first place in all server and the region and he gets rewarded. the player who didn't make it to the cut off mark gets eliminated. the bully is still alive and part of the game.

back in real life, mc meets with min julie. mc gives min julie advice for round 5. he says their regions will merge and that she should look to ally with black scythe. still mc's round identity is hidden. min julie is hesitant but mc says with his prophet ability that he will partner up with her. next, mc meets with the heavenly demon company. mc brought his brother as the heavenly demon suggested. mc, mc's brother, heavenly demon, bodyguard and seo arin are in the get together. mc's mind reader ability gave mc a huge tip on how the agendas of the big company were working. mc is letting things slide until they wanted to being mc's brother in the plot. mc had a private talk with heavenly demon and says he knew of what was going on and it's becaue of the prophet ability he has. heavenly demon felt inferior? abacked with how things went. but still mc goes with his plan of growing with the company, he just warned the heavenly demon not to bring his brother in to the mess. mc gave advice for round 5. 

after the meeting, heavenly demon felt mad of how weak he felt during the meeting and goes on his vigilante dark knight stuffs. his dark knight requires living soul to power up, monster hunting doesn't give as much as actual pk and murder.

back in mc's room, mc looking to get another rune ability, the clone rune. end of season 1.

#a brief history, the world at peace suddenky got attacked by monsters. humankind suddenly received a status window alert to give them choice to enter the labyrinth, there are 4 difficulties, easy normal, hard and solo. afterward, the returners will save the earth from the monsters that appeared.

#easy, normal and hard, allows players to interact in person with one another of the same difficulty. whereas the solo mode, players cannot interact face to face with one another. a solo player can only personally interact with the environment and the npcs.

#wave, like a monster break but aims to destroy humanity

#gods and goddess in the labyrinth grants rewards and blessings to players in exchange for entertainment. they only exist in the solo difficulty.

1 mc just returned back from a capture mission? his capture got killed by a rank monsters. mc killed the monsters. mc goes to the cafeteria with his friend, geum joonggeun. suddenly, a commotion happened outside, a returner just arrived and is confused in what happened to earth. mc steps in to deescalate the situation. mc requests a duel. the returner, lee changchoon, accepts. mc easily beats lee changchoon. lee changchoon suddenly calmed down and accepts what had happened to earth.

2 next up, lee taeyon, a solo mode player returns from her patrol mission. she wanted to discuss matters with mc. mc goes to her place. lee taeyon is intrigued by mc's power. lee taeyon discusses that a wave is about to happen. lee taeyon says it would be worsr than before. mc leaves lee taeyon to tell the news to the others. lee taeyon has plans. mc reveals the news. the others seemed to be anxious, worried and fearful. they are all certain of their fate. mc is tasked with beating 2 s rank monsters. the wave arrives, mc alone goes on the offense to face the s rank monsters.

3 epic battle of mc vs 2 s ranks. mc wins. mc returns to the base to find everyone had already lost their lives. he even found the fallen body of lee taeyon, the strongest human. mc see the monster who killed her, the leader of the wave, the apostle. mc vs the apostle.

4 mc gets defeated. with mc's passive, mc is able to stay alive but he is gravely weaken. mc's passive continues to keep mc alive. mc goes to the fallen lee taeyon. mc saw what lee taeyon was holding. it was a regression stone, ouroboros bezoar. mc takes and use the regression stone. mc went back in time to the time right before the everything ended. suddenly, monsters attack, then a voice can be heard. a status window prompt appears and asks the people to choose what mode of difficulty they are going to choose for their labyrinth run.

5 mc chose solo mode. the highest labyrinth difficulty. mc gets teleported to another world? mc is in a town. mc meets broknman, the gatekeeper of the labyrinth. after chatting a bit, broknman gave mc some starter equipment and let mc in. mc already knew about the gatekeeper when lee taeyon told mc about it, before regression, so mc is able to deal with the npc easily. broknman, an npc, is intrigued by mc's different aura. broknmam have high hopes for mc. mc enters the floor 1.

6 mc finds the item shop in the labyrinth. mc meets the lost king, a dwarven shopkeeper. mc notices nothing is displayed in the shop. after chatting for a bit, mc understood what to do to be seen as a customer. mc leaves. the lost king is intrigued by mc. mc encounters his first fight, a monster rat. it's a floor 5 boss in easy mode and mc is encountering it as a random mob. mc realizes the difference in the difficulty. mc manages to defeat the rat monster and returns to the shopkeeper, the lost king.

7  mc sells the rat monster loot to the lost king. the lost king is surprised. the lost king took it and asked mc what he want. mc wants a giant shield. the lost king asks why. mc says he wants to bash monsters. the lost king like the answer and gave a giant for free to mc. mc is surprised. the lost king showed some wares to mc. mc chose the bow and arrow. the lost king is more interested in mc. mc is confused. the lost king also gave mc direction to the fountain of life in the first floor. it will heal mc's lost hp and he can use it infinitely as long as he doesn't leave the floor. mc is more confused. the story of lee taeyon about the shopkeeper is way different from what mc's witnessing now. that one thing he did of killing the first random mob definitely altered how the story progressed. mc continues his grind. mc noticed that compared to the other difficulty, there are many prompts being shown each time he does something. like proficiency progress, perma bonus stats, unlocked skills and such. mc also noticed gaining skills that he previously got but was sealed but in solo mode, it is unsealed and easily accessible to mc. mc heads towards the fountain of life. mc encounters another rat monster. it's actually a group of rat monsters and mc's surrounded.

(right now, mc is still inside the labyrinth, there's no open area, just floors, walls, ceilings and corridors)

8 mc's stats and his own battle knowledge made him come out of top. mc beats the 3 rat monsters. mc continues and enters through a door. mc finds the fountain of life. the area it's in is a safe area. mc take a drink from the fountain. mc gets fully healed. mc realizing that his mental fatigue might build up, mc took a rest for the night. the next day, mc checks the boards. mc notices the difficulty and worries of the solo mode players that are trying to interact. the solo mode players are having doubts and have not yet started entering the labyrinth whereas the other mode players have already started their labyrinth run. mc shared his tips as a solo player. after, mc ate the raw rat meat he acquired. mc got afflicted with poison status, fortunately, the fountain easily cures mc. mc continues this way if eating. mc then acquires a passive skill, disease resistance. mc then goes for next passive, mc drowns himself in the fountain. mc just revives after going unconcious. mc does this repeatedly until he acquired hold breathing passive, it lets him hold his breath for a longer than normal duration. mc also acquires hazardous danger sense passive, it happened when mc almost died. this passive activates when mc is in danger of getting killed or in the most dangerous of situations. mc then thought of how he's easily acquiring skills. with this in mind, mc wants to continue getting skills.

9 in the boards, the other players are question mc's method of gaining passives. mc honestly answers them and says it's their choice if they want to follow what he says. meanwhile, in the safe area of the fountain of life, mc is continuing his training. after getting a number of passives, mc goes to make his original skills? or main skills. mc gains a defensive skill he once had before regression. while mc is resting in the fountain of life area, a certain npc appears, an old man, a person searching for god, einzhal. instincitively, mc takes out his shield. mc remembers the story of lee taeyon regarding an old man in the fountain of life. suddenly, the old man launches and attack.

10 mc was able to block the attack. mc gains stats and a new skill. the old man throws another attack, mc knows the gap between their strength. mc could not do anything about the second attack. mc got hit and is launch to the labyrinth wall. the labyrinth wall broke on impact. the attack dealt 32k damage, fortunately, the attack is call non-lethal. mc getting one hit killed get nullified. the old man is impressed by mc. the old man introduced himself as einzhal. the old ma goes to explain he does this thing to assess the adventurers who enter the labyrinth. einzhal repeatedly says mc passed with flying colors. mc then asks regarding einzhal's description. mc inquires which god einzhal is looking for. einzhal tells about the goddess, levinenoph. she is a goddess loved by the people in his world. unfortunately, einzhal's world had already been destroyed and he's the sole survivor. no one else but einzhal remembers and worship the goddess levinenoph. mc knows about the said goddess. pre regression, lee taeyon talked to mc about the goddess levinenoph. mc knows which floor the goddess is in. mc remembers that lee taeyon told mc when she found the goddess, the goddess had already been killed. back to the present regression, mc did not yet mention his knowledge about the goddess levinenoph to einzhal. einzhal asks mc if he wants to learn techniques taught by the goddess. mc accepts the offer. but before that, mc asks what's the catch. einzhal says mc should take it as an apology for getting attacked. mc couldn't careless as long as he gets more skills. the lessons begin.
