1 mc sacrifice schooling for his sister. at work, some new guy, kshiwara mamoru, took mc's promotion because if school attainment difference. mc got into a fight. after, mc joins her sister as hs students of a special program. mc had an encounter with rio, a full time students. they had an argument during the entrance ceremony which led mc speaking the truth vs maaya. during break? maaya almkst got abused by some students, mc runs to the rescue but he got outnumbered. rio who was tired shouted for help. mc and maaya reconcile. rio who witnessed the rescue had her heart flutter.
2 mc once again had quarrel with kawamura in the company. it seems mc is always on edge. mc and maaya enters hs forntheir first day. rio's attention is on mc. during class, mc had an encounter with rio. arata protects rio. mc and arata fights. during pe, mc and arata goes toe to tie with the activity, mc is losing. suddenly mc keaves class to save a classmate, an independent student who fell down the river. rio also helped. after school, rio had a talk with mc. mc's idea of rio changed? so thus rio towards mc. school continues.
3 at school, mc is conscious of rio. mc skipped the morning class. there were fewer students since most of them got bored and some couldn't keep up with the deadline. meanwhile, aside story of wakaba saito having a hardtime as a single mother. she lashed out at hinagiku. next day, furing class saito had a problem, hinagiku went missing. mc and maaya decide to help. rio tag along. after a bit of comolai ts and lashing out, saito, although wanting to be independent, can't help but rely on others. rio wants to help as well. suddenly hinagiku appears. the mother daughter reunites, with hinagiku unaware of what had just happened. somehow mc and rio became acquaintances.
4 mc and maaya ate invited to a study meeting in a district area. mc is more concious of rio. after, with mc's suggestion, they went to have a study group. rio suggested they do it in her house. everyone agreed. arata was there to belittle mc. after the study session, mc tries mustering the courage to say goodbye but somehow he confessed his feelings to rio. afterward, it seema someone from rio's family gives her a trauma. mc geta sent back to work for an overtime. after, mc finds rio on a bridge. her face is a mess, she's troubled. when mc approaches her, rio pushed him away. mc believe it was because of his dirty work clothes. mc believes that there truly is a big gap between him and her.
5 a backstory of rio, her cousin, takuya molested her. and because her mother wants to be close with takuya's mother, rio did not say anything. she is traumatized of other boys? during class, there will be a field trip to a factory, mc decided not to join. rio tries talking to mc, mc burshes her off. in the factory, somehow, rio felt going to mc, she wanted to tell something to mc. rio leaves the field trip. arata follows? rio finds mc. mc insults her and mentioned what arata told him. there a wide gap between him and her. somehow, rio got mad. rio was not able to tell mc what she wanted to say.
6 next day, mc is looking for rio. rio is absent. saito and maaya says that there was something the rio wanted to tell mc. but mc didn't get to hear it. in rio's residence, she is syudying alone. arata joins him. a bit of arata's backstory and how he wanted to become rio's ally. suddenly, rio's cousin arrives and want sto have a private convo with rio. rio had to oblige. arata can do nothing. meanwhile, at work, mc had another fight with a workmate. mc got tired of it and leave. after, mc decides to jump over a bridge. arata was there. mc and arata had another fight. one of their classmate tries stopping them, all three of them fall off the bridge. they survived. their classmate reprimanded the two and asked about rio. arata, in his high horse, insulted them and told a bit about rio. afterwards, arata leaves. mc told his piece to their classmate, saito? somehow, saito kissed mc.
7 somehow, saito indirectly confessed to mc?? next day, although it was awkard for mc. somehow, mc is determinedly set for saito. when saito asked mc to go out and watch movies with her, mc agrees. meanwhile, rio shuts herself away from anyone, even from arata. a brief daily life of takuya, he gets chewed out on his part time job, he vent out his frustration to rio. arata is realizing that rio's sadness stem from takuya. arata confronts takuya and takuya, being from a high society, arata sees himself out. mc is out on rooftop thinkong about his date with saito. suddenly, arata burst in and ask for mc's help? mc ignores it, he doesn't have anything to do with it. mc went on a date with saito. everything's going great but mc's conscience won't let him. mc rushes for rio.
8 rio's about to get raped. mc arrives. although he was stopped by the door of rio's house, mc made his way outside rio's room window. mc saw everything he need to see. mc bursts in through the window and saves rio. mc got arrested and jailed. after, mc's work boss fetched him. all charges vs mc is revoked in exchange, mc must meet with rio's parents. after, mc meets with rio. mc lashed out at her, rio listened. the two started crying. they seemed to have a mutual understanding between them.
9 mc reunites with maaya. a resolution in rio's house. rio's feelings towards her mother are said. mc meet with rio's father. they were grateful for rio. after, mc's convo eith his employer. later on, mc gets a chance to meet with rio. the two had a heartfelt convo. mc confess. rio accepts.
