1 when mc is born, a minor god formed a contract with mc. making mc overflow with power. as he grow up, he did his best to control his overflowing power and as such, he was not able to train anything else. that is why he was called incompetent and weak. at school, marou a childhood friend of mc bullies mc and tells him to leave, alice, alos a childhood friend tries defending mc. he never actually wanted to be at the magical academy but with his father and elder sister's asserting him, he passed and got in the schoolm as mc did not want alice to be involve with him, he wanted to do something about it but before he could, their teacher soleil arrives and greets them. marou complains to soleil thatc is wrongfully admitted to the academy since mc does not know how to use swords. the teacher responded that although mc is good with swords, he got full mark on the written exam. the teacher then said the three rules while they are in school, while in campus all nobility status is null, prohibitions of sword and magic and use only in designated place and take covenants with deities as a serious matter. as the teacher explains this covenant, he summons in the class a stray god with no name. apparently, a covenant with a strong and more famous god garners more power and benefit. and having a contract with a lesser or even a god with no name will have little benefit. they are like familiars for the ones they make a pact with. apparently, they are perhas seen as tools or something. marou had an idea of mocking the stray god by promising her he will make a pact with her if she begs. this got mc furious. although, alice warned mc. he got up from his desk, went in front of the class, knocked marou the shit out and kneeled in front of the stray god. and with a kiss on her hand, the covenant is made. as a god without a name, mc is asked by the stray god to give her one. mc calls her athena.
2 somehow, mc likes athena. although people are calling mc name a behind his back and athena asking mc if he regret having her, mc finds her lovely and he never regretted having made a pact with her. in class, alice warns mc that during the mock battle session, marou and his friends might try something vs mc to get back at him. but mc had it all planned out. mc plans on elevating athena's status by making himself stand out. that is with the benefits and power he got from both athena, spear arts and zeus, immeasurable power. during the mock battle, everything went as mc planned. with his immeasureble power from zeus, that once mc almost killed his sister with, and the spear arts from athena, he defeats many of gis classmates. afterwards, athena's fame increase and she's now seen with a bit more respect than before. while mc's reputation just dwindled. from the one who beat the count's son to the one who beats his entire class.
3 with athena gaining fame, she was finally able to fly. mc is happy to see her smile. the next session of their class will be held in another school, st. ferris girls' academy. the motif is match making. the students of the knight academy will be paired with the ladies of girls' academy. the knight's job is to protect and be a guardian to the lady. basically it looks like a speed dating, with the knights as the suitors, but in a servitude kind. once two students are paired, they will be attending joint classes. mc is reluctant about this event. with his bad reputation spreading, he doubts if anyone would want to pair up with him. as mc walks alone in the girls' academy trying to find someone to pair up with him, he just gave up when he hears students believing the rumors about mc. while mc walks alone, he sees na incident between 4 students. the three students opened up a portal to unleash goblins. the student being attack decides to kill herself but not before mc saves her. afterward, mc leaves her as he does not want himself to get involve. the student reminds mc of her sister and her faith in mc. but before he could leave the student introduced herself as luna flame. as if obligated to respond, mc lied and called himself marou byrne.
4 a week had past, no one is approaching mc. although alice and athena are trying their best to help mc, it was futile. although, marou told mc that the match making system will the end find them a partner even if no kne want to pair with them. suddenly, mc had an urge it give it his all as well so to not make the faith of those who believed in him be in vain. suddenly luna flame appears. both alice roze and kraim elrode kneeled in front of her wanting to be chosen as her knight. she was known to be a misantrophy and would have wanted to not be involved with any knight but she chose to attend the match making because she eyes a knight to serve her. at first she called for marou byrne but upon finding he was not the student she was looking for. luna flame asked alice, a friend of hers, if she know any student in the description of mc. alice took mc in front of luna flame. although mc did not want to be involved with her, mc is ultimately obliged to form an oath to luna flame. alice asks mc to keep her safe.
5 next day, duke argos flame, father of luna flame, wants luna to change the knight she has. the duke then goes on to insult mc. but when goddess athena was suddenly insulted couldn't hold himself back and asked for a duel vs the duke to prove that goddess athena's gift is the real deal. the duke tells mc he'll be facing his weakest servant. although mc just wanted to show off that could stand toe to toe vs the chosen servant of the duke and just lose the battle, luna flame is unconvinced and that mc should let loose all his strength. somehow, mc obliges to luna's request. mc stood up and unleashes a powerful spear throw vs the weakest servant. although it missed, the servant concedes defeat. he could possibly not beat a spearman who could drastically terraform the ground with just the force of a thrown spear. the duke gave his blessing of mc being the knight of luna flame. somehow, luna flame's attitude towards mc is a cool manipulative owner with mc as her mere pawn. luna flame says starting now, he will live in their household.
6 as mc wait for luna flame, he is approached by a mischievous elise flame, the younger sister of luna flame. somehow she has taken a liking to mc. when luna arrives, she is with athena. mc was glad that she was there. luna flame said she'll be staying with them as well. mc is glad with this decision. suddenly, luna flame's mother, charlotte flame, charl, appears and greets mc. she is delighted to see her daughter having her own knight. charl is also interested in athena. she then tells that the goddess, astaroth, she herself made a covenant with, will be surprised to see her. suddenly, athena became fearful as she kept apologizing on mc. a crack to the void suddenly opened and out came the goddess astaroth.
7 astaroth greets charl. mc tries to comfort athena who is cleary fearful and has an ashamed face. astaroth approaches athena and asked who she is. charl introduces her. astaroth immediately knew athena is a stray god and asked who named her. mc tells it was him. astaroth ask mc why he named her athena and who is someone else inside of him. confused mc answers it's just him. suddenly astaroth attacks athena. mc deflects it with his kick. astaroth then claimed that mc passed. it was a mere test of her if mc is rightful to be luna flame's knight. after that, the godess astaroth left them. athena apologized to mc. mc says it's fine since it was just a mere test of the godess as he felt reassured that athena affirms she's fine after mc asked. mc is without a doubt the goddess astaroth is merely testing him. meanwhile, astaroth went to a different dimension, the lower world. she met up with another deity, lucifer or satan. she is suspecting of lucifer of something she is being kept with. as the two clashes, it is apparent that they are bored as heck with being supreme overall. as lucifer leaves her, astaroth finds mc an interesting toy for her to play with. a human who could repel her attack, which is mc.
8 mc dreams of his past. how he tried looking for info about zeus, the god who gave him immeasurable power, how he tried and trained hard to control his overflowing power, how he almost killed his beloved elder sister by his power that he could hardly control, how his father wanted to banish him and himself agreeing, how his big sister defends mc and almost killed herself just to not let mc be banished from their household and how mc wanted tell his elder sister that he will be doing what he want, which he somehow could not. mc wakes up to a life he never woukd have thought he would like to be having. a warm and cozy place to stay in, goddess athena as mc's next door neighbor, a faster commute to school, a mischevious playful little sister of luna flame, the ever protective duke argos and luna flame, her madam/lady and benefactor. right now, compared to before, he is enjoying himself.
9 on their way to school, luna flame is seen with respect, athena with new found admiration and mc with deeper scorn. mc also saw alice with ein stadt. during class, alice says she is the knight of ein stadt. somehow, alice is jealous of her. when their teacher enters, he asked for forms of applicants who wanted to join the joint training camp with the ferris jo. mc is surprised with this as he quickly fill out the form and submitted it without luna flame's consent. alice explains that it's not just any simple fun camp, they will in fact be trying to survive for three days and two nights in the forwst of the divine beasts. mc apologizes to luna for handing the form without her consent. luna says she's fine with and she wanted to go on extracurricalar activities as well. although tries to urge luna that it would be dangerous if they go on with it. luna tells mc that it will be fine since mc will be protecting her. mc obliges. on the the of the camp, they suddenly joined by a were cat girl or something.
10 mc let the were cat girl eat the fishes he caught. she chowed down the fish she got from mc. before mc could ask anything from her she vanished. their team composes of mc, luna flame and athena. when mc went back to his teammates, the twonreports of a giant divine beast eyeing them. mc tells them it must be because the magic field taught by athena to mc that mc set up is what keeping the divine beast at bay. as they set up for dinner, they are met with alice and ein stadt and soon after kraim joind them. after they enjoyed dinner to went to an onsen in the forest of the divine beast. kraim asks why mc is keeping up with the role of the incompentent if in truth he's strong. his mai evidence is the barrier that mc set up. mc answers truthfully and says he is afraid of the power he has. and in his thought, he will be only showing his true now since he has a goal, and it is to promote goddess athena. suddenly, kraim asked mc to a duel.
11 kraim's intention was to fight the knight who luna flame approved. as they settled in for the night, mc ponders whether he should take on kraim. but remember his good intention. mc obliges and went to meet with kraim. mc won the duel without bloodshed but kraim admitting defeat. kraim acknowledges the strength of mc. and the two seemed to become friends. meanwhile, goddess astaroth is amassing monsters to o on a stampede. as the two rested, kraim invits to try join the student council. both kraim and alice were already selected as part of it. the condition for the third member would be to win the fighting tournament of next month. mc sees it as an opportunity to make athena gain more influence. suddenly mc and kraim felt a tremor. the two hears an announcement calling all the student to the central camp. mc felt the familiar aura of astaroth. alice came to the two and said a demonic stampede is hsppening and is head straight for them.
12 as the three knights head to camp, they slew a few monsters in their way. when they reached the camp they find goddess astaroth fighting the divine beast, fenrir. their teacher soliel says they've already sent distress signal to the capital.the royal knights order will be aiding them as well mc's elder sister rei astario, a sword saint. the fight between astaroth and fenrir heats up. but oddly enough, mc's classmates are cheering for astaroth. mc remembers that it was astaroth who defested the demonlord satan, so it must be that as a heroic god, whatever or however the case will be, it will astaroth they will avs to cheer. this does not sit well for mc. suddenly mc notices athena's fear and sadness as they in her eyes fenrir is a child that is suffering and ultimately bound to the forest. she rushes to mc and asks him to help fenrir. mc remember what he did back then when it was athena who was being mistreated. suddenly, mc hears luna flame ordering him to do what he has to do. and then athena tries stopping mc and apologizes to mc and luna flame. but mc is set on it and besides it is something for his goddess, athena. even if it's another god, mc will do it.
13 as the battle ensues, people from the royal observation tower watches the fight of astaroth and fenrir. it was easy for them to assume that fenrir is at fault, for such god is facing against astaroth known for her heroic tales. as mc heads to the whereabout of the two gods fighting, the others students were arguing among themselves. alice was mad and worried that mc had to go there, marou byrne was mocking mc while both kraim and luna flame have full faith that mc will return alive. as mc is on edge of his cross road, he laments what would happen then after he kills a god. but then he made up his mind, he wanted to check how strong his power really is and the only to do it is to face off vs a god. as astaroth was about to unleash her last attack vs fenrir, mc launches himself towards astaroth grabs and her head and took her far away. those in the royal observation tower noticed the power level of the third being that interfered in the clash of the two gods. the third being's power level is comparable to that of astaroth herself. and they called another god. astaroth felt eletad to see mc.
14 astaroth tried hypnotizing mc but it failed. mc attacks but suddenly astaroth vanishes and appears behind him. as mc engages against astaroth, he confirmed it that astaroth is not a real goddess as she was emitting sinister and evil energy. meanwhile, in the central camp, the students and teachers were having a hard time vs the demonic stampede. even with alive erecting a second barrier, it was hopeless as there were simply too many monsters that were coming. but as alice ran out of magic and felt hopeless, a new ray of light came to help the, the chilvalric knight's order arrives and with them is rei astario, mc's elder sister, the sword saintess. aid have arrive for the students and teachers.
15 rei astario greets alice and athena warmly and kidnly. whemln she greets luna flame, it seemed like a bitter rivalry. and when everything have organized and are set up, rei astario unleashes a powerful attack, yuno slash, the name of mc. with a great light, she cleaved a large area of the monster hordes attacking. the battle of mc and astaroth heats up. all the while mc asked himself what the goddess astaroth was talking about of mc becoming a god and how evil the goddess is to frame fenrir, the one who serves to protect the forest, to cause a stampede. the goddess astaroth smiles as she saw mc getting a clean hit on her.
16 as the battle heats up, mc suddenly had a doubt in his heart whether what he will do is the right thing. as his doubt gets the best of him, he became enraged and blinded. somehow, fenrir notices mc's wavering as it went to aid mc. suddenly, lucifer appears and attacks mc. the new god that appeared reprimands astaroth for breaking a contract.
17 as fenrir rescues mc, mc felt talking to god that just appeared. he jumped of fenrir and approaches the two gods. lucifer reprimands astaroth for breaking a contract. astaroth argues she was merely looking for an answer and lucifer was the one who's interfering with her. lucifer tells astaroth that it is not time. as mc reached them, lucifer insults mc and call him a pawn. but this just confused mc. as astaroth mentions the other gods name, lucifer. mc realizes that perhaps this other god is a higher being. lucifer kept on confusing mc with his insults and explanations. his last remark as he left with astaroth is for mc to not disappoint him. whem they left, the stampeding monster is relieved of their rage and are confused to what was happening. mc thanked fenrir as he has to quickly get back to athena. fenrir offered aid mc as it carried mc all the way back to the central camp. once mc got there, he reunites with athena. then rei astario hugs mc and greets him. mc asked what happenednand what the course of the knights will do. she says that after the monsters disperses and the rescue of the students and teacher, they are going along with the royal order of the subjugation of the divine beast fenrir. the supposed cause of the demonic stampede. they were unaware that the wolf mc rode back to the central camp was actually fenrir.
18 previously, before mc started going back to the central base, he promised fenrir he'd do everything to defend the innocence of the divine beast. right now, when rei astario announces the subjugation fenrir, mc defends the divine beast and even went to say that fenrir saved him. but rei astario hushed mc. as mc ask his elder sister if she believed the blatant false accusation towarda fenrir, she replies that it has already been decided. the moment fenrir fight against the hero god, fenrir is a already deemed the enemy, even the royalty as well the gods have already decided it and they must simply obey orders. mc laments his discomfort and dejection the world had laid bare in front of him. he cannot find in himself to accept it. but there's this lingering thought that he must. one of the officer of the knight order who overhears mc convo with rei suddenly asked mc who is the one that actually caused the stampede. before mc could say it was the goddess astaroth, his elder sister rei answer for him it was the blue meteor, the third god that joined the clash between astaroth and fenrir. suddenly mc had a realization. his dreams of making his goddess athena shine in a world that does not her. he must change it. he went to athena to ask for permission. but even before mc could ask, athena already knew what he wanted and permitted mc with whatever he wanted to do and it was her wish the entire time. mc felt relieved that athena could understand him. and then mc went to fenrir and asked to make a convenant with him. mc wanted fmthe fenrirs power of transformation so that he will take on the sin that was wrongfully accused on fenrir. the god fenrir obliges mc wish. all the while, a calm and stern gaze of luna flame intently follows mc.
19 mc tells soliel sensei that he will be accompanying the wolf back to the forest. as mc head out, they were confronted by luna flame. she orders mc, as her knight, that he must return to her the way same way he is now. mc promises her he would return and be serving her from here on. luna flame is sad and mad at the same time with mc's decision. mc's plan is to become so blue meteor, his elder sister named, as thebthird god who joined in the clash between fenrir and astaroth. mc needs the power of transformation from fenrir. after making the covenant, mc gains the skill transformation. mc made himself look like a god. he plans on turning the whole world against him, not as a human but as a god.
20 mc calls himself noah, the evil god. mc confronts the knights in his derrange lunatic god alter ego. as he unleashes his might, all the knights fell on their knees except for rei. rei asks mc's name. suddenly when mc wants to say his name, it was as if he became a stray god himself that he himself could not speak his name. it was as if the rules of gods were applied to him. or rsther the first god whom mc made covenant with wanted his name be used, zeus. but mc did not want that as he overcomes this hurdles. he called himself, noah, as he clashes with his elder sister.
21 as mc faces off vs his elder sister and need to appear more evil. he decided to launch a deadly attack against the army. it was supposed only to be a warning but when garnos, the knight captain finds that mc was waivering, mc decided to launch it anyway. it will be his first time killing someone. his first sin. he accepts this sin. suddenly an image of his, a clone, appears in front of the blast that mc unleashed. it appears to be fenrir. suddenly athena appears to protect the clone.
22 mc laments as he could not stop the attack as well he's unable to do so while acting an evil god. suddenly, rei astario caught and vanquished the blast. kraim was also there as he tries to save athena. fenrir whispers to mc his disappointment on him. mc could not act the role of an evil god. somehow, rei astario already knew noah was mc (or not). she played along and made athena a savior for the knight order vs the evil god noah. mc had to play along as well. in the end, athena, the goddess of beauty (as was called by rei astario), bests the evil god noah, mc as evil god noah retreats and the knights order praises athena for saving them. goddess athena is confused with what had just happened, she is unaware that mc is the evil god noah and the mc he protected was actuallt fenrir. mc rest in forest as he fall asleep deep in his thought of turning the whole world against him in the guise of an evil god, all the while hiding the his true abilities, all the while thinking of the many forces that may try to unmask and reveal his identity and power, and all the while making goddess athena the most supreme goddess of all the gods. mc wakes up to find athena beside him. athena tells she was worried of mc going away on his own, as mc recount of what happened when he himself almost killed her. she was mad and worried with mc when fenrir in mc's image tried to catch the blast to save the knight captain. mc knew if athena were to find out she'd be disappointed and be mad at mc for the path he took. but mc is set to make his dream come true to make athena the most famous of them all. chapter ends with a nobility figure that may seemed to be a god, looking at his floating book and piecing together the names of evil god noah and the noah's ark. he ends by saying he has found whoever he was searching.
