mid term exam is divided into two categories duel and monster raid.
1 the entrance ceremony for the cube/hero academy. the main hero and rival in the main story are introduced, first place goes to kim suho, the main protagonist and the second place goes to shin jonghak, the rival of kim suho and will later on become a villain. mc realizes he is in the novel he wrote. when mc is introduce, even he as the author do not know who his character is. when he checked his face on the screen he was being projected, he sees he has no face but his colleague somehow does not see it that same as mc.
2 mc was sent a weird email regarding the remake of a novel he did not finish writing. after accepting, mc is transported into novel. 2 weeks passed mc is still pondering his existence in the novel with a question mark for a face. he has to live life as a highschooler with other main characters of the story. back to his dorm after class, mc finds a delivery. inside the box is his laptop from his original world. after opening the laptop, somehow he acquires access to system/status window. his body synchronized with his original body to the body he now is in. and he finally acquires a face, it's his face in the original world, his name changed back to his original name. he got a skill named, setting intervention
3 somehow all of mc's stats resets when he became himself as kim haijin. but he gain skills, observation (info view), reading (access to story), setting intervention (reality manipulation at the expense of sp or story points, more mc becomes important in the story he gains sp). mc tries investing to his stats. using his intervention skill, mc invested in his luck stats (something he cannot normalldy do). he tries increasing his other stats. suddenly a prompt window appears telling mc is prohibited from modifying non-variable stats. after their instructor introduced himself as kim soohyuk and will be the one to be taking care of their class until next year. he then takes everyone to choose their weapon. once they choose one, they are not allowed to change for a minimum of 6 months. with consideration to mc's low stats and efficiency for future investments. mc chose a gun, it is something mc knows how to use as well. somehow, the others as well the instructor are surprised with mc's choice.
4 instructot kim soohyuk, knows mc to wield a sword as he questions mc decision. mc says he decided to change. the more weapon has, the stronger it will be. other than the, guns weapon cannot exceed the limit of the bullet ut is loaded, compared to others that can also utilize their own capability. with these, it is clear, that although guns have certain advantages, in the long run, because of their limit, they are somehow deemed inferior. but considering mc's knowledge with guns and his capabilities, it is the right choice for him. mc now aims to acquire a gift, weapon skills. after class, kim suhoo, the main protagonist, finds chae nayoon in the training center practicing her bow. although kim suhoo respects mc as a hero candidate, chae nayoon hates mc for what he decided to choose as a weapon. meanwhile, using the intervention skill, mc made a skill that gives him sharpshooting ability (range weapon proficiency, bullet time and hawk eyes). maybe gifts are sets of combination of skills. during class, it was q breeze to mc. not only is he the one who wrote everything but he also has skills such as observation and the laptop to remember things in class. suddenly, after class, they are asked to go to the plaza for a practical training. its a team excercise. mc is surprised with the team he has.
5 mc is in team 5, he is grouped with one of the main characters in the story, yoon yeonha, a candidate for essence of strait guild, successor of their clan and one who would be supporting the main protagonist later on. mc must make a connection with her for him to gain sp. but it turns out yoon yeonha is just putting a kind face. mc must make a good impression for her. during the practical, mc was already exhausted just by them trying to reach the destination. when they got there they spotted their target, a giant octopus. during a short strategy meeting, mc felt yoon yeonha excluding him from the strategy.
6 as the team gets overwhelmed by the octopus. mc used his skill to turn the tides. this somehow surprised yoon yeonha, but the continued with the fight anyway. they finishrd their tas in under an hour, they ranked 16th. mc was exhausted after.
7 during class, yoon yeonha felt unhappy because of her low ranking. she felt jealous of chae nayoon being in the 4th place. she wanted to divide chae nayoon's family rigts but with her apparent low score she felt helpless. yoon yeonha approaches chae nayoon cheerily. chae nayoon praises her for ranking 16 even though they have a gun user in their team. apparently, the time they took was mostly from their slow travel to their target location. while mc train he checked his rewards, with the help of his luck stats, he got bonuses from the increased of some of his stats. he also gained some sp. in yoon yeonha's room, she examines their practical video. she is looking at mc's extraordinsry feat. suddenly shin jonghak calls her, she felt elated. shin jonghak inquires about mc. in a certain guild, creator's grace, the vice captain yoon yeungah looks at the practical videos of the intraining heroes. she is very interested in kim suho to join their guild. she also saw mc's extraordinary feat during the practical. she seemed interested but she let mc be.
8 class in session is a 1v1 practical. training weapons are ised. but since training guns gave yet to be made, mc is pitted vs an instructor. mc's can't do anything but to dodge the attacks. the instructor is somewhat impressed by mc. the other students sees mc's sloppiness. mc gains sp in return. after class as an experiment of getting sp, mc tries to interact with yoo yeonha, but mc was easily struck down. mc did not gain any sp. he must do something that is more significant. mc then remembers the next story will be in the weapons museum. people who made contract with demon will attack the museum while the main characters are having a tour. mc will try to join in the event in order to gain sp.
9 mc joins the travel club, healing rain. their travel/trip will take place in seoul weapob museum. it will also be first main arc of the novel. mc is paired up with yoo yeonha as his partner for the trip. apparently, mc is still not on goos terms with yoo yeonha, mc and her travels separately. in the museum, mc spita chae nayoon and kim suho. as mc and kim suho have a small chat. suddenly, the weapon's museum got attacked by monsters. the people panicked but it chae nayoon immediately calmed them. she immediately ordered the other students to take arm with the museum artifact weapons. suddenly, a villain, a demonic human, dog of lucius. mc thought the main protagonist would take the villain with ease, based in the novel. but kim suho was immediately thrown to a wall and got defeated.
10 mc was surprised as the situation was way off from what he had written. chae nayoon helped kim suho and as they engage the demonic human, they were getting beaten. mc out of desperation, used his intervention skill, payed some sp, modified and infuse the bullets he has with light element and attacked the demonic human
11 mc's attack was effective but not enough. kim suho then unleashes his skill vs the weakened demonic human and defeats it. suddenly, mc blurted out that 'chae nayoon's brother will be arriving' based in the novel. upon hearing this, both kim suho's and chae nayoon's eyes focused on mc. chae nayoon collapses. outside the museum, yoon yeongah, vice captain of creator's grace are finishing up some of the monsters. upon receivimg report that kim suho as well others defeats the demonic that attacked inside, she hurriedly went to try for the main protagonist. odd enough, she first met with mc. before she could end her sentence, mc tells her kim suho is inside, as if he already knew what she was about to ask. as mc rests and organize his thoughts, he remembers the novel now had a co author since before he got transported, mc agreed to have his novel remade. suddenly, mc gets a prompt, a story critique. since the main characters are getting stro gers hence nothing can harm them, the story for the readers may become boring. thus to balance and increase popularity, the enemies become stronger.
12 as mc and kim suho are asked by an officer/instructor to go home. mc asks about chae nayoon. the officer tells them chae nayoon took a sick leave and went to his family. kim suho then asks regarding what mc suddenly blurted out. a prompt for critique suddenly appear for mc. somehow, mc's understanding about chae nayoon and her family is off from what he had written. kim suho did not tell any detail. mc reads his notes from the laptop. mc remembers chae nayoon's brother, chae jinyoon to be a great hero as well chae nayoon love her brother dearly. suddenly a prompt appears. its about an incident that happened 5 years ago. during an operation to defeat demonic humans, 'demon human suppression plan fireflake.' chae jinyoon should have gain popularity and recognition for joining in the operation. the prompt states that there were too many support characters for the main protagonist so they had to reduce their numbers. instead of gaining honor, 5 years ago, chae jinyoon was put in a coma and was afflicted with demonic seed. chae nayoon is resting in a hospital, she requested her father if she could visit her brother. mc decides to kill chae nayoon's brother in order for the demonic seed not to mature. chae nayoon remembers how mc used his skill to hurt the demonic human. now somehow she is interested in finding more about mc. she also has to ask him about what mc blurted after they defeated the demonic human.
13 yoon yeongah examines the reports about the museum incident. she is cross examining it as she tries to find the one who used light element/attribute vs the demonic human. she eyes three students, chae nayoon, kim suho and kim haijin. mc finds out the laptop he carries and uses to read the novel he wrote is something that no one else could see. mc also acquires a new skill of some sort. he gets a prompt if there is a change in the novel he wrote and a close proximity around him. this way, if there is something different, he gets notified. suddenly, chae nayoon approaches mc and request him to spar with her, mc declines. the instructor backs mc. somehow, chae nayoon has a beef with mc for mentioning her brother during the museum incident. in monster analysis and strategy club, veritas club, mc joins the orientation. mc already wary of its club president, yoon hyun, since he's a demonic human who involve with missing students and sudden appearance of monsters. mc knows yoon hyun has a captivating/hypnotizing skill that allures others. mc also knows who yoon hyun's target is, it's yoo yeonha. the club somehow deals with monster info, something crucial and expensive to get. yoon hyun, tells everyone to join the after party. after the orientation, mc approaches yoo yeonha and has a small chat regarding her clan, the essence of strait and yoo yeonha's shaky position. mc gave yoo yeonha info about a monster they're targetting, in exchange mc asks for a weapon in their guild's armory, the desert eagle. when yoo yeonha inquires about proof, mc tells her just believe him as it will give her good credits within their guild.
14 mc receives a letter. it's a loan notice. he just found out he has a debt to the bak which amount to the maximum loan limit which is 300 million. he checks his balance, he only have 3 million. to earn money, mc chose the hunter's life. mc also acquires the desert eagle from yoo yeonha. in gangwodo, mc heads out to go hunting. he meets park soohyuk, the agent of the main protagonist in the novel. mc agrees to make a conteact with their agency. mc along with park soohyuk went tk go hunting. with the a desert eagle that is modified using SP, mc is able to kill a high difficulty monster with ome bullet.
15 after the hunt, when was ask what he will hismoney for. he answered, stocks. afterwards, mc immediately invested his money to the packhorse masters guild, a new guild that was brlieved to be founded by a demonic human. mc knows the guild will successfully attack a dungeon thus increasing their worth. as mc tries looking for other things to invest on, mc remembers the chameleon troupe, although they will become villains later in the story, mc might try getting their help to kill chae jinyoon, the demonic branded brother of chae nayoon. suddenly, mc's laptop started updating. a month later, shin jonghak, chae nayoon and yoo yeonha are having a meeting. it's certain that shin jonghak is interested at chae nayoon, while yoo yeonha is interested in shin jonghak. yoo yeonha's jealous can clearly be seen but she easily masks it with the others. they discuss about mc and how an orphan studdnt with 300 million in debt be hiding something. chae nayoon suggests that mc could be a demonic human. meanwhile, the laptop just finished updating, mc acquires a stigmata, and acquires a skill book of truth his other skills are also strengthened. mc collapsed as info floods his head.
16 mc, kim suho and chae nayoon are being rewarded for their response during the museum incident. chae nayoon is still mad at mc. yoo sihyuk, rank 37 supreme hero gives the reward to the three students. mc acquires 15 million as a reward. mc tries checking his new stuffs. the stigma still hurts him so he will have to check it later. his laptop got update and he now has easy access to sites that are otherwise hard to get into. he can use his accumulated SP to access them. mc eyes the violet society. but before mc could sign up and access the site, he is suddenly approached by yoon seungah, the vice captain/vice leader of creator's sacred grace guild.
17 mc wanted to get her attention. as yoon seungah was abouy to ask mc, mc abruptly said no and left. he wanted her to be interested at him and not just some simple curiousity. mc tests his stigma which is like his own magic power being used and formed to whatever he like. it requires him to gain sp and going over certain number in order to be stremgthened. next is his new skill book of truth, its a skill that knows all the truth and answer but it costs sp. suddenly his school watched alarmed, they are looking for info regarding a missing student, jin hajeong. mc knows it's the second arc of the main story, a serial murder incident. a certain number of student will go missing and the last target will be yoo yeonha. mc wanted to help but he opted to sit it first since if the story critique suddenly kicks in, something drastic may once again change the course of the story. during training at school, mc is somehow being bullied by ither students class president yeonghan knows it's shin jonghak who asked mc ti be bullied. kim suho tries defending mc. suddenly their instructor appears and calmed the situation. he also gave the result of their test result. mc is at first place, it is thanks to setting intervention skill that hengot a high mark but somehow, the number one, rachel elizabeth luis, in tests and quiz was ultimstely shocked by a new name appearing.
18 rachel elizabeth luis grieves as mc takes the top spot. on the other hand, in order to utilize his skill, book of truth, mc becoming an info broker. he posted an ask me anything online. using his setting intervention skill, with SP, mc upgraded his handgun desert eagle and made it able to transform into a sniper rifle. mc also made himself new skills/arts, parkour in order for him to have more survivability when its required. suddenly his alarm prompt, another student have gone missing, seongyun. mc ponders whether to intervene now or let things continue on. during class, they are taking a practical course for dungeon raiding. they will be group with other section, the cultivation class. suddenly, a prompt appears notifying mc of 3 characters deviating from the original novel. cultivation student jo yoonah became crazier. cultivation student jaden, got a growth buff. cultivation student sven, worsened mental state, probability of getting take over by a devil's servant during the dungeon raid is increased.
19 mc is wary of the three students. mc sees jaden as a bully or some sort. with his potential growth increased, it's still uncertain of what to expect. meanwhile, sven is whom mc is much concerned. in the novel, he becomes a top alumni in the cube but unfortunately, he is not as strong as the others, this led him to sell his soul to the devil. mc's main worry is the prompt saying that sven will somehow form a contract or come in contact with a devil during a dungeon raid. during the raid, mc leads their group close toward's chae nayoon's team. thanks to mc's thousand mile sight, their team quickly andneasily dealt with a monster in the dark. suddenly, an arroe laced with poison almost shot yoo yeonha. mc pushed her out of the way. meanwhile, chae nayoon's team is trying hard as chae nayoon carries sven who was hit by poison arrows. they were not expecting poison arrows to be used during a simualtion dungeon raid. jaden is getting mad at mc for taking the spotlight of leading the team.
20 as they continue, all they thought the dungeon raid was all a simulation when suddenly an actual monster attack them. mc had to use his stigma to protect them. mc says it's a magic defense equipment. jaden went mad at mc for only using his magic defense now but the rest were getting worried since there were real monsters during the simulation. yoo yeongha calmed jaden and suggests they gather the defeated monster as they may be converted to reward points. afterwards, she wonders how mc acquired an elemental magic defense, both kim suho and shin jonghak would have a hard time acquiring them or have no clue yet how to imbue element to their magic while mc could. meanwhile, in chae nayoon's team, they have already reached and found the boss. they were resting and waiting for other teams to arrive in order for them to take on the dungeon boss. sven's condition is getting worse. suddenly, in his sick state, he hears a voice. it claims to give sven strength for a very low risk price. suddenly, sven shouted and writhed in pain. this alerted the dungeon boss.
21 mc's team runs into a giant boulder blocking their path. jaden went mad at mc. suddenly, one of their teammate spots a small gap above thr giant boulder. mc went ahead without his team. the alerted boss attacks chae nayoon's team. as they get beat and about to get hit by the boss one last time, mc interferes. mc takes the aggro, she requests chae nayoon's assistance. as they fight off the boss, their attacks were ineffective. suddenly, sven appears.
22 they defeated the dungeon boss. mc sees sven to have been demonified, but is still incomplete. chae nayoon approaches mc and thanked him. this somehow surprised mc, she made chae nayoon a tragic and lonely life, which made her character to be resilient and not too trusting. her thank mc made mc lament how he wrote her. chae nayoon compliments mc as well questions him why he let shin jonghak's group bully him. mc says he can't win against them anyway and the power she saw was from a modified gun, which is apparently illegal to have in their school. she decided to keep it a secret. chae nayoon also asked mc if he got anything else to say. mc knew she wanted an apology for what he said after the museum incident. mc said nothing he does not to get close to her as mc's target is chae jinyoon, her brother. afterwards, the dungeon raid simulation got cancelled since they only found out about the problems that occured within the dungeon. mc suspects the demon human within the school executive will try to cover it up only as just that. mc decides to investigate further sven's demon case. using his powers, mc accessed chae nayoon's message log and found out their club is going hunting in the weekend. mc remembers it's the time when sven will go berserk. mc had to find a way to interfere. mc suddenly gets a call from kim suho.
23 in mt. gari, mc immediately acquires a temporary stat boost roots. mc then head to a hidden undead dungeon. he wants to get to the hidden stage and face off the undevelop hidden boss, witch evangel. after facing off horde of undeads, mc gets to the hidde stage. he immediately killed the infant evangel. he acquires the aether, a growth type weapon that attaches to it's master or weapon to be strengthen and evangel's seed, a seed that contain's evangel's soul.
24 the aether attaches to mc, it increased his stats. mc's wants to grow the evangel's seed but he has to find a way to get blood of good natured people to nurture it. next day, mc joins the expedition of chae nayoon's hunting club, leonidas. mc wrote only a brief narratiom of what happened during the incident. it was only to serve as a plot to make kim suho take more interest for chae nayoon. mc does not know exactly how things will unfold. sven uses his demonic power in order to hunt so he could win his friendly bet vs chae nayoon. after winning, sven confessed to chae nayoon but was rejected. suddenly, as mc expected, sven went berserk and attack chae nayoon. mc was there to defend cahe nayoon. but sven quickly overpowers mc. suddenly, chae nayoon is overwhelemed with surging power. even though her bow broke when sven attacked. she made a giant sword of light ready to attack sven.
25 chae nayoon attacks sven and defeats him chae nayoon collapsed afterwards. it was evening when chae nayoon woke up. mc is carrying her, piggy back style. chae nayoon tells mc to let her die. as she stood she immediately fell. mc tells she's under the state of magic power exhaustion. mc continues to carry her. mc then asks if she will continue using her bow she's she has awaken her englightenment to the sword. chae nayoon lashed out at mc for being too meddling. next day, with the rumors spreading about chae nayoon getting attacked and student sven turning out to be a demonic, mc is summoned to the committee that handles the missing student cases. chae nayoon specifically recommended mc to join. as the committee further discussed, mc had the sudden urge to interfere and help out. mc pointed yoon hyun, president of the academic veritas club as the culprit. the rest denies this thst the club president has his own alibi. as mc tries to support his claim, yoo yeonha suddenly tells that mc could be the culprit.
26 kim suho defends mc. suddenly kim horak, engages with mc. as mc say his pieces trying to defend himself, he felt mad and tries leaving. on his way out, kim horak attackw mc. mc dodges the attack. mc tries to retaliate but kim suho interferes. mc had a breakdown of trying to argue with charscters he made. he tries remembering his original life. suddenly, a prompt appears ssying his perseverance stats increased. as the committee investigatiom continues without mc. yoo yeonha suddenly got a messafr from yoon hyun asking if they could meet. she agrees to meet him.
27 back at class, mc sees the normal things in school would be. everything is normal as how things, except for rachel elizabeth luis sitting close to mc. after class, yoo yeonhs meets with yoon hyun. she got captured. somehow she made a chat and the recipient is mc.
28 yoon hyun took her watch away to prevent yoo yeonha from chatting. as she tries telling yoon hyun to surrender and give up, he tells her it would not make a difference since he'll be long gone until they found him. somehow, using mc's big brain, he concluded the chat yoo yeonha sent was an sos message. mc uses his book of truth skill to locate yoo yeonha. somehow yoon hyun's objective is to not kill yoo yeonha but to make her also a demonic human. with her willpower she rejects the temptation. suddenly, mc shot yoon hyun from afar using his sniper rifle. somehow, could remotely speak to them. mc tells mc to give him bullets for the ones he used to save her and she should rest as rescue was on the way. yoo yeonha thanks mc as she loses consciousness out of exhaustion.
29 yoo yeonha woke up to find kim suho by her side. he apologize thst something like that happened to one of their committee members. afterwards, yoo yeonha thanked mc and promises him to repay him back. mc got sp points as well and his long range proficiency also increased. mc meets up with soohyuk to talk about investment in the sh entertainment agency. he is using the mpney he got from selling the left over stat boost item he got online, 400 million for that. mc planned on investing 150 million for the sh entertainment agency and 250 for the packhorse master guild. mc asks for a car they could use while hunting and a magic bag. afterwards, mc asks park soohyuk to go with him to a convinience store. mc wants to try the lottery. he immediately won 2 billion. mc gave the winning ticket to park soohyuk as an investment. meanwhile, a group of shadow figures talked about getting an item and infiltrating the academy during mid term exam week. somehow they are probably scouting potential member.
30 during mid term week, the campud is open to guilds to scout and recruit students as well the students families. while mc is looking around, mc bumped into a member of the chameleon troupe. mc was surprised by this and only remembered that the chameleon troup would also be there. mc tries covering up his surprised. but mc was suddenly made their target, since mc somehow was able to see the member although she's hidden under perception cover. there were heroes that roam the street as security detail for the event. before mc head up for his duel, yoo yeonha meets with him. she gave mc the bullet he ask and tells him she will keep quiet to what mc did. mc appreciated that. yoo yeonha also tries warning mc about who he will face, kim horak.
